Thank You To Our Board & Founding Members

Our Founders

Catherine Curry-Williams co-founded the She Angels Foundation after a lifetime of proactive philanthropy. Following the loss of her son Shane in 1997, this Brooklyn native founded Shane’s Inspiration, a global non-profit which creates inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that promote inclusion for children with disabilities. Through these parks and programs, Cat fulfills her mission to unite children of all abilities, through play, compassion and kindness.

For her dedication and impact in communities throughout the world, Catherine has been honored by countless philanthropic organizations, such as L’Oreal Paris “Women of Worth”, March of Dimes, Good Housekeeping magazine, KCET-TV, Lifestyle magazine, the City of Los Angeles, and the State of California, which recognized her as one of their “2018 Women Of The Year.”

Catherine is a Huffington Post contributor and author of the book “Yes, You Can Use Your Hormones As An Excuse,” a humorous look at mid-life. She is also the co-founder of the “Women With A Purpose” Conference, where kindred spirits gather to thrive, inspire and evolve. Guest speakers at WWP have included Marianne Williamson, Linda Gray, Dougall Fraser, Rhonda Britton, and Susan Anton.

Cat enjoys wine tasting so much, she created an online magazine in 2013 called winewomenandchocolate.com, which offers content for women of all ages that basically gives permission to have your cake and eat it, too.

Cat lives in LA with her husband, ”NCIS” writer-executive producer Scott Williams, their beautiful daughter Grace, and three adorable dogs.

I’m Catherine Gray – a Producer, Author, TEDx Speaker,  Host of www.InvestInHerPodcast.com, the founder of www.SheAngelInvestors.com, and co-founder of the She Angels Foundation.

She Angels Foundation is designed to support female founded non profits that are helping women and girls.

She Angel Investors is a multi media platform designed to connect female founders and funders. Additionally, She Angel Investors encourages women to become angel investors. We do this through our podcast, films, book, e-course education and events.

My focus is always on empowering female entrepreneurs. My passion is to utilize our multi media platform to fund women, so as to level the playing field, since women are severely underfunded- getting less that 2% of venture capital funding.

Currently, my focus is on producing a documentary about raising awareness of the underfunding of women, and the solutions on the horizon to change this.

And check out my Ted Talk – Fund Women Save the World here!

This is why I produced an e-video online course called “6 Ways to Fund Your Business” about Funding Female Founders. It can be found on our website www.SheAngelinvestors.com along with a free download of tips for funding your business. Or here is a direct link to the course landing page.

Also, I produce and host a popular podcast series called INVEST IN HER, to discuss ways to accelerate the funding of women, and provide resources and inspiration to our listeners. We feature both female founders and funders! It is distributed on Apple, Spotify, IHeart and wherever you listen to podcasts.

In my past, I am so grateful and proud to have produced several award-winning films including the very first documentary film about gay marriage called ‘I Can’t Marry You,’ narrated by Ellen DeGeneres’s mom Betty, which aired on PBS in more than 60 cities nationwide. Also, I co-produced several documentary films for the LOGO network. That led me to start my own production company called Showbiz Shorts aka Corp Shorts, and eventually 360 Karma Productions- before launching SHE ANGEL INVESTORS.

As the top producer in the country in cable television advertising in Miami for 15 years, I left the position to become Vice President of Advertising for the first ever gay cable network and decided from that day forward, all of my ventures would be working on projects for the greater good.

My favorite quote is from Mahatma Gandhi “Happiness Is When What You Think, What You Say, and What You Do Are In Complete Harmony.” I also believe the quote of the Dalai Lama, “The Western Women will save the world”!
