Dear Jill and the She Angels Foundation community,
I'm writing with enormous gratitude to share what your belief in one founder's vision has grown into.
When Oasis Collective won the She Angels Grant in 2025, it kicked off the journey to actualize my dream of hosting a major pitch competition for women AI founders — one that would not only give amazing women and their companies exposure and invaluable feedback, but connect them with opportunities to raise the capital they need and deserve.
We hosted our first Women in AI Pitch Competition last August. Since then, it has grown into a national series with events in San Francisco, Boston, and New York City. The series has become so successful that major venture capital firms now look to us as an authority for sourcing the best women-founded, early-stage AI startups, earning us ongoing partnerships with SVB, Flybridge, Fidelity, Laconia Capital, and many more. Most recently, The Pitch — one of the most beloved podcasts in the startup world — asked us to help them scout founders directly from our competition series. But most importantly, brilliant early-stage women founders are gaining opportunities and angel checks directly from the pitch competitions you helped us start.
None of this would exist without She Angels. You were the first organization to bet on The Women in AI Pitch Competition, and that early belief changed everything. I still have my She Angels check proudly displayed next to my desk — a daily reminder of the moment someone said yes to this vision.
To every woman considering applying for a She Angels Grant: this organization doesn't just write checks. They open doors, and they believe in you before anyone else does. Their support helped us start something that is now making a real difference for women founders across the country… and soon, the world!
