What are the eligibility requirements for agencies applying for the She Angels Foundation grant?

  1. It must be Non-profit agency, founded by women.
    2. A recognized leader in providing services to women.
    3. Solid reputation and track record of delivering services.
    4. Organizational capacity and experience to implement and sustain the project.
    5. Willing to provide donor recognition to the She Angeles Foundation.
    6. Ability to supply audited financial statements for the past three years.

How does an agency apply for a grant?

Applications for our grant are received by the Grant Screening Advisory Board (GSAB), at which point the screening process begins.

When are the finalists selected?

Based on the information from document research, finalists are selected by the She Angels Foundation Board of Directors in early June each year.

What are the She Angels Foundation’s criteria for funding projects?

  1. Innovative projects that target a specific, critical, unmet needs and resources for a diverse community of women and girls.
    2. Projects that demonstrate the best approach to meeting the need.
    3. Projects that will be ready for implementation in the calendar year following the grant award in November.

What types of funding are allowed?

  1. All or a substantial part of the entire funding for a project.
    2. Complete funding for a discrete portion of a larger project
    3. Final funding for a larger, otherwise fully funded project.

What are the responsibilities of the Grant Screening Advisory Board?

The GSAB is comprised of Founding members Advisory Board volunteers from the She Angels Foundation membership. Several formal meetings are held, with the chair overseeing the process. The first step is to review submissions and then to determine whether to proceed with the proposal.

The selected Agencies submit a package of information including recent annual reports, audited financial statements, and a strategic plan that shows how this project fits.
